Saudi Cabinet Urges International Action to Halt Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians

Saudi Cabinet

Neom, The Gulf Observer: The Saudi Council of Ministers has called on the international community, particularly the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to take immediate measures to compel Israeli occupation authorities to cease their crimes against the Palestinian people and their occupied land.

The Cabinet session, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in NEOM on Tuesday, strongly condemned statements made by the Israeli occupation prime minister regarding the so-called “Greater Israel Vision.” It reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s categorical rejection of settlement and expansionist projects pursued by the occupation authorities, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Minister of State, Cabinet Member for Shoura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed stated that the Cabinet underscored the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and sovereign state on their land in line with international law. It further denounced the recent Israeli approval of settlement construction around occupied Jerusalem.

The Council also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis peacefully. In this regard, it welcomed the summits hosted by US President Donald Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European leaders aimed at achieving peace.

At the start of the session, the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the content of his recent communications with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as the message he received from Sierra Leone’s President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.

Marking World Humanitarian Day, the Cabinet expressed pride in the Kingdom’s longstanding humanitarian contributions since its founding, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia’s values—rooted in Islam and noble principles—have placed it among the largest donor nations globally.

In light of the new academic year, the Cabinet reviewed major educational achievements, including curriculum development, enhanced teacher training, the integration of artificial intelligence, technical training expansion, talent identification, and the provision of innovative learning environments. It extended best wishes to students at all educational levels.
