Saudi Foreign Minister Attends Paris Meeting on Gaza Peace Plan Implementation

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Thursday participated in a high-level ministerial meeting hosted by France in Paris to discuss the U.S. Gaza peace plan and the next steps toward achieving a comprehensive ceasefire.

The meeting gathered foreign ministers and representatives from Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and Canada, along with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas.

At the opening session, participants welcomed the recent agreement between the parties to halt hostilities, exchange prisoners, and release hostages—an important step marking the beginning of the first phase of the peace process.

The ministers further reviewed ongoing mediation efforts led by Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye and explored mechanisms to support the implementation of the U.S. peace plan in line with the New York Declaration. The discussions emphasized the importance of establishing a sustainable political framework to achieve lasting peace and stability in Gaza and the broader Middle East region.
