Saudi Interior Minister Reviews Security Operations at Grand Mosque During Ramadan Umrah Season

Makkah, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif visited the Grand Mosque Security Operations Center on Friday to assess ongoing security measures in place for the Umrah season during Ramadan.
During his visit, Prince Abdulaziz received a briefing from Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami on the effectiveness of pre-planned security strategies aimed at accommodating the increasing number of pilgrims and worshippers.
The minister also reviewed the latest technologies deployed for crowd management, including artificial intelligence-powered data analysis systems designed to ensure the smooth and safe movement of pilgrims entering and exiting the Grand Mosque.
Prince Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the security personnel involved in the Umrah mission. He commended their dedication and professionalism in safeguarding the well-being and comfort of pilgrims, urging them to maintain excellence in their vital role.
The visit underscores the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest security standards and seamless organization for worshippers performing Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan.
