Saudi, Russian Officials Discuss Climate Cooperation Amid Growing Bilateral Ties

New York, The Gulf Observer: Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy, met with Ruslan Edelgeriyev, Russian presidential aide and special representative for climate issues, on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly yesterday. The discussions focused on environmental issues, climate change, and related international initiatives.
The meeting reflects the growing emphasis on strengthening Saudi-Russian cooperation, particularly in areas related to climate and sustainable development.
In recent developments aimed at further boosting bilateral ties, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, represented by Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries (JCPDI), conducted a five-day marketing tour in Russia. The initiative sought to attract investment and foster partnerships between Saudi and Russian companies.
Led by JCPDI CEO Hussain Fadhli, the Saudi delegation engaged with leading Russian firms to highlight the city’s infrastructure, investment incentives, and competitive advantages, promoting Jazan City as a strategic hub for industrial development.
