Saudi social media influencer donates part of her liver to a stranger girl
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The selfless act of empathy and compassion in terms of donating part of her liver to a stranger girl made Al-Johara Al-Hoqail, a young Saudi social media influencer, more famous among social media users.
The hashtag Al-Johara Al-Hoqail has become an instant hit on social media when she revealed that she had donated part of her liver to save the girl Jumana Al-Harbi, who is a total stranger to her, according to media reports.
Al-Johara says that she has accomplished a dream that she cherished since the age of 15. “I was looking for getting an opportunity for organ donation since the age of 15,” she said. She made the donation to save the little girl Jumana Al-Harbi after hearing about her suffering from one of her friends. Al-Johara indicated that there are many patients who die because there is no one coming forward to donate organs for them.
The young influencer revealed that she made her decision despite her retinal injury in both eyes that required retinal transplantation, emphasizing that this did not prevent her from helping the little girl.
Al-Johara indicated that her childhood was full of volunteer work, and she has a passion for carrying out charity work, especially helping poor people and fighting their poverty.
Her heroic act went viral on social media, with many Twitteratis and social media users hailing her altruist act. They tweeted “Al-Johara had set the finest examples of sacrifice and love of goodness for others, and that she embodied all the meanings of empathy and giving.”
