Manah, The Gulf Observer: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, presided over the Omani Youth Day ceremony held at the Oman Across the Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah today. The event celebrated the achievements of Oman’s youth and honored the winners of the Youth Excellence Award in its fifth edition.
The ceremony inaugurated a three-day Youth Initiatives Exhibition, presenting initiatives across ten themes, including financial technology, education, employment, physical fitness, crafts, environmental conservation, media, engineering, and law. These initiatives highlighted the diversity and innovation within Omani youth contributions.
Significantly, the event marked the opening of new branches of the Youth Centre across various governorates. These branches are designed to serve as hubs for nurturing the skills and talents of Oman’s youth, aiming to support their development and active participation in the nation’s progress.
Five key agreements underscored the collaborative efforts aimed at youth empowerment. Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) signed the second partnership agreement to implement the “Musta’id” (‘Ready’) programme, enhancing youth readiness for diverse challenges. A third agreement was established with Vodafone Company, while a fourth strategic partnership was inked with ITCHA Group. The fifth agreement focuses on a land investment in the Wilayat of Nizwa to establish a new Youth Centre branch.
Concluding the ceremony, HH Sayyid Theyazin honored 21 distinguished youth who won the 2024 Youth Excellence Award.
