Second ‘Youth Empowerment Forum’ held in Bahrain

Manama, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of Bahrain’s Youth Affairs Minister, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the second edition of the “Youth Empowerment Centres’ Forum” was held under the theme “Empowering Youth between Reality and the Future”.

Youth Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Sarra Eshaqi, Chairman of Al Arayedh Group Holding WLL, Nasser bin Mohammed Jameel Al Arayedh, and representatives of youth empowerment centres in the kingdom attended the event, hosted by the Al-Hajar Youth Empowerment Centre.

Addressing the forum, Nasser Al Arayedh expressed thanks and appreciation to the Youth Affairs Minister for patronising the event in its second edition, noting that the youth empowerment centres are distinguished incubators for Bahraini youth, given the diverse programmes they implement to hone Bahraini youngsters’ skills.

He urged concerted national efforts to support the youth empowerment centres’ system to maintain gains and attains more achievements that meet the aspirations of Bahraini youth.

Member of the women committee at the Al-Hajar Youth Empowerment Centre, Zeinab Al-Tajer, in her statement, highlighted the goals of the forum, aiming at optimizing the role of the youth empowerment centres in discovering and refining the talents of Bahraini youth across various fields.

Chairperson of the Al-Daih Youth Empowerment Centre, Dr. Mona Fakhr, also addressed the forum. She highlighted the key role played by women in ensuring the success of youth empowerment centres, citing the achievements attained thanks to them, and the initiatives they have launched.

The forum also featured a work paper by the Al-Naim Youth Empowerment Centre, Ghazi Abdulmohsen, on the youth empowerment centres’ ambitions and the challenges facing them.

Members of the “Young Inspirers” initiative also gave a presentation entitled “The Way towards the Impossible.”

The forum also featured a panel on the role of youth empowerment centres in nurturing Bahraini youth and their talent.‎ ‎
