Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Meets Italian Defence Minister to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today hosted His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defence of the Italian Republic, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting underscored the strong ties between the United Arab Emirates and Italy, with discussions focusing on avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of defence and military affairs.

High-level deliberations also covered pressing regional and international issues, including developments in the Middle East. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by several senior UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs.

The visit further solidifies the UAE-Italy partnership, highlighting shared priorities and mutual interests in defence and strategic cooperation.
