Stefanos Tsitsipas Triumphs at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Tennis Federation, presented the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships trophy to Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas after his thrilling victory in the men’s singles final. The awards ceremony took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, marking the culmination of the tournament’s 33rd edition.

The prestigious ATP 500 event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, brought together eight of the world’s top 20 players in a week of world-class tennis.

Tsitsipas delivered a commanding performance in the final, securing a straight-sets victory (6-3, 6-3) over Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in front of a packed crowd at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. His remarkable composure and skill saw him clinch his first Dubai title, further solidifying his reputation as a top contender on the international circuit.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and Chairman of the Tournament Organising Committee; Nasser Youssef Al Marzouqi, General Secretary of the UAE Tennis Federation; Salah Tahlak, Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and Tournament Director; and Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dubai Duty Free.

In the doubles final, India’s Yuki Bhambri and Alexei Popyrin triumphed over Croatia’s Harri Heliovaara and Great Britain’s Henry Patten in a hard-fought battle, winning (3-6, 7-6, 10-8).
