Strategic Milestones: Five Key Documents Signed After Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s Visit to the UAE

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The two-day official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the United Arab Emirates has concluded, as reported by Turkmen media.
A significant meeting transpired between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi the previous day.
During this meeting, both leaders articulated specific proposals aimed at deepening the longstanding cooperation between the two nations. The mutual interest in strengthening the partnership resulted in the formalization of agreements, as evidenced by the signing of five documents following the visit. These agreements serve as a tangible foundation for the continued collaboration between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
The following are the documents:
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) (the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is the intention of the Parties to attract certain strategic partners for the development of the III stage of the Galkynysh field and their possible participation in the implementation of energy projects, relating to the construction of gas pipeline infrastructure intended for the supply of natural gas to the countries of the region and other states);
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) (the purpose of this Memorandum of Cooperation is the intention of the Parties to explore the potential opportunities for scientific, technical and economic mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of reducing methane emissions into the atmosphere);
- Agreement on cooperation between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and First Abu Dhabi Bank;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern “Turkmenneft” and Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd.;
- Memorandum of understanding between the Turkmenhowayollary agency of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Dubai Aviation Corporation.
