Sultan of Oman and Belarusian President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Muscat

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus held an official session of talks on Sunday at Al Alam Palace, reaffirming the strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Belarus.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the advanced relations between their nations and explored opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including economy, investment, technology, and healthcare. The discussions focused on fostering partnerships that align with the mutual interests of the Omani and Belarusian peoples.

The talks also included an exchange of views on key regional and international developments, as well as other matters of shared interest, reflecting the commitment of both countries to strengthening diplomatic ties.

The Omani delegation included several high-ranking officials, such as:

The Belarusian delegation was led by:

  • Viktor Lukashenko, son of the President and President of the Olympic Committee
  • Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs

  • Anatoly Linevich, Minister of Agriculture and Food
  • Sergei Terentiev, Non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Oman

Following the official session, His Majesty Sultan Haitham and President Lukashenko held a private, closed-door meeting to further discuss matters of strategic importance.

This meeting highlights the commitment of Oman and Belarus to fostering stronger bilateral relations and expanding their cooperation in fields of mutual interest.
