Sultanate of Oman Condemns Israeli Military Attacks on Yemen
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly denounced the recent Israeli military attacks on the Republic of Yemen, labeling them as a severe escalation that exacerbates regional tensions. In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry today, Oman expressed grave concern that these actions would further complicate the regional situation, hinder efforts to de-escalate conflicts, and obstruct the pursuit of peace, particularly in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the quest for justice for the Palestinian people.
The Foreign Ministry’s statement emphasized the critical role of the international community in maintaining regional and global peace and security. It called for decisive international intervention to protect civilians and ensure the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
“Oman calls upon the international community to assume its responsibilities to maintain regional and international peace and security and take decisive action to protect civilians and ensure the access of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip,” the statement declared.
Furthermore, Oman highlighted the necessity of addressing the underlying causes of the conflict and prioritizing dialogue and negotiation as the primary means to achieve sustainable solutions. The statement stressed that international law must be upheld and applied equitably to all parties, without discrimination or double standards.
