Syrdarya Region Expands International Tourism Cooperation at COTTM Beijing 2024
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: The China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) 2024, held in Beijing, has presented new avenues for developing gastrotourism, medical tourism, and agrotourism in Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region. During the event, the Syrdarya Regional Tourism Department delegation engaged in discussions with representatives from Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, China, and Belarus, exploring mutual opportunities and partnerships to bolster tourism in the region.
In productive dialogues, the participants exchanged insights on Syrdarya’s ongoing tourism reforms, including a variety of initiatives designed to attract international visitors. Delegates shared updates on the large-scale improvements within Syrdarya, highlighting recent developments in hospitality infrastructure and niche tourism services aimed at enhancing foreign tourist engagement.
The discussions culminated in agreements to promote cooperation across multiple tourism sectors, notably in medical tourism, gastrotourism, and agrotourism. These partnerships are expected to strengthen Syrdarya’s appeal as a dynamic tourism destination while fostering closer ties with regional and international partners in the industry.
