Tajik Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Security and Development with UN Preventive Diplomacy Chief

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, held a meeting with Kakha Imnadze, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), on October 22, the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
During the talks, both sides reviewed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNRCCA, with a focus on addressing modern security threats and challenges in the region.
The discussions also emphasized the importance of promoting sustainable development and enhancing regional collaboration among Central Asian countries in key sectors such as water resources, energy, environment, and climate resilience.
The meeting reaffirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to working closely with the UNRCCA to strengthen preventive diplomacy mechanisms and foster regional stability and cooperation.
