Tajikistan and Türkiye Explore Expanded Cooperation in Sports and Physical Education

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Amir Ibragimzoda, Rector of the Tajik State Institute of Physical Culture named after Saidmumin Rahimov, and Ibrahim Ethem Unal, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the Republic of Tajikistan, have discussed prospects for expanding international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports, according to media reports.

The meeting focused on strengthening interaction between Tajikistan and Türkiye across various segments of the sports sector. Both sides underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral ties, exchanging professional experience, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at advancing sports development.

The discussions also addressed the restoration and expansion of scientific and institutional cooperation with higher education institutions in Türkiye. Such collaboration, participants noted, would contribute to improving the quality of specialist training and fostering scientific research in the fields of physical culture and sports.

In addition, the two sides explored opportunities to organize joint sports competitions and events across different disciplines. These initiatives are expected to promote healthy lifestyles and further strengthen friendly relations between Tajikistan and Türkiye.
