Tajikistan Attracts $6.9 Billion in Foreign Investment in 2025, Up 35%

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: The Tajikistan attracted $6,925.3 million in foreign investment in 2025, marking a significant increase of $1,798.6 million, or 35.1 percent, compared to 2024, according to official data released on Wednesday.

The announcement was made by Sultan Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, during a press briefing.

Rahimzoda highlighted that inflows from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries amounted to $3,031.0 million, representing 43.8 percent of total foreign investment. This figure reflects a year-on-year increase of $1,067.3 million, or 54.4 percent, compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, investment from non-CIS countries reached $3,894.3 million, accounting for 56.2 percent of total inflows. This represents an increase of $731.3 million, or 23.1 percent, compared to the previous year.

The substantial growth in foreign direct investment underscores Tajikistan’s improving investment climate and expanding economic engagement with both regional and global partners. Officials noted that the diversified structure of inflows reflects sustained investor confidence and growing international interest in the country’s development potential.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing regulatory frameworks and creating favorable conditions to maintain the upward investment trajectory in the coming years.
