Tokayev, Ilham Aliyev hold talks in Baku
Baku, The Gulf Observer: During his working trip to Baku, the The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, had a meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev. Having thanked President Aliyev for traditionally warm reception and organization of the first SPECA Summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Baku the pearl of the Caspian region and one of the world’s most beautiful cities, according to the reports of Akorda press service.
The Head of State once again congratulated Ilham Aliyev and the fraternal nation of Azerbaijan on the historic milestone of ensuring the territorial integrity of the country in accordance with the international law and the UN Security Council resolutions.
The Kazakh leader emphasized that this became possible thanks to President Aliyev’s far-sighted and wise policy aimed at strengthening of Azerbaijan’s statehood, improving its people’s prosperity and enhancing Baku’s prestige globally.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev went on to praise the robust development of relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, welcoming the launch of a host of new projects.
The Kazakh President also underscored he came to Baku with a high-profile delegation as, in his words, the visit offers a good chance for meaningful talks and exchange of opinions on a wide range of issues with Azerbaijan.
