Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has disclosed that the next extended session of the Kazakh Government is imminent, according to the Kazakh media.

In an interview with Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper, the President emphasized the importance of transitioning to a new economic model, a goal outlined in his September state-of-the-nation address, with the strategic objective of doubling GDP by 2029.

The upcoming extended Government session will serve as a platform to review and summarize the results of socioeconomic development, while also devising a strategy for future steps in alignment with these goals.

President Tokayev highlighted the significance of the National Kurultai sessions as a valuable forum for addressing ideological matters and shaping the nation’s values. Traditionally held in summer, this year’s National Kurultai is anticipated to take place in spring, according to the President.
