Top Russian Security Official Visits Tehran

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Russia’s Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu, has arrived in Tehran for discussions with high-ranking Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to Russia’s Tass news agency.

During his pre-planned visit to the Iranian capital, Shoigu will review bilateral issues as well as regional and international developments.

In addition to meeting with President Pezeshkian, Shoigu is scheduled to confer with the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali-Akbar Ahmadian and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri.

The talks are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including trade and economy, as well as regional and international security, among other issues.
