Türkiye’s First Space Traveler, Colonel Alper Gezeravci, Views Mission as a Beginning, Not an End

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Colonel Alper Gezeravci, the first Turkish prospective space traveler currently in quarantine in Florida, emphasized that his upcoming space journey is not the culmination but merely the “beginning” of a broader mission.

Reflecting on his feelings ahead of this historic venture, Gezeravci, a military and civilian pilot, expressed his gratitude for the opportunities provided by the state and the Turkish people, stating that his journey aims to carry the dreams of the Turkish populace from the sky to the depths of space.

Stressing Türkiye’s involvement in space studies with domestic satellite technologies, Gezeravci highlighted that the journey serves as a tool to advance the nation’s goals in space exploration.
