Turkish Intelligence Chief Meets Hamas Delegation to Discuss Gaza Ceasefire and Aid Delivery

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Head of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT), İbrahim Kalın, met with a delegation from the Palestinian group Hamas on Sunday to discuss efforts toward achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, according to security sources.
The Hamas delegation was led by Muhammad Darwish, head of the group’s leadership council. The meeting placed strong emphasis on the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which continues to face dire conditions due to ongoing conflict and blockade.
Sources stated that the talks focused on Türkiye’s active diplomatic and humanitarian role, including its engagement with the international community to halt the violence and facilitate unimpeded humanitarian access to the besieged enclave.
Efforts to promote unity among Palestinian factions were also addressed, with the aim of fostering a coordinated response during this critical period.
During the discussions, Kalın reiterated Türkiye’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and reaffirmed Ankara’s commitment to contributing to peace and stability in the region.
