Turkish Security Forces Neutralize 17 Terrorists in Northern Iraq and Syria
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: The National Defence Ministry of Turkiye has reported that Turkish security forces successfully “neutralized” 17 terrorists in separate operations conducted in northern Iraq and northern Syria. The announcement was made through an official statement on [Day], underscoring the ongoing efforts of the Turkish Armed Forces to counter terrorism.
In the Operation Claw-Lock area in northern Iraq, 10 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were neutralized during an air operation. The statement released on Sunday emphasized the relentless commitment of the heroic Turkish Armed Forces in dismantling terrorist hideouts, stating, “Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces continue to demolish terrorist hideouts with their steel claws.”
Additionally, in a distinct operation, the ministry declared that Turkish security forces “neutralized” seven PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria. The successful operation targeted individuals within the Operation Euphrates Shield zone, Operation Peace Spring zone, and Bafdik regions in northern Syria. The ministry’s statement on [Day] highlighted that the intervention preempted the terrorists’ treacherous goals.
