Türkiye and Oman Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call

Türkiye

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation on Friday with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, to review bilateral ties and regional developments, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.

During the call, the two ministers assessed the outcomes of recent contacts between Türkiye and Oman aimed at easing regional disputes and reducing tensions. They also exchanged views on ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and stability in the region.

Al Busaidi last week highlighted steady progress in relations between the two countries, underscoring the “mutual trust and respect” underpinning bilateral ties and pointing to significant untapped potential for deeper cooperation.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Fidan in Ankara on January 8, the Omani foreign minister said the leaders of both countries share a common vision and strong political will to further advance relations.

He added that discussions between the two sides have covered key regional developments, including the situation in Palestine, as well as developments in Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and Somalia, and praised Türkiye’s role in supporting political processes and humanitarian initiatives across the region.
