Türkiye Emphasizes Strategic Partnership with Venezuela, Highlights Common Stance on Palestine
Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan underscored the pivotal role of Venezuela in Turkey’s regional policies during a joint news conference with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Gil, in the capital of Caracas on Saturday.
Fidan acknowledged the depth of the bilateral relationship, stating, “Venezuela has an extremely important place in Türkiye’s policies regarding the region.” He highlighted the convergence of interests between the two nations, particularly on various regional and international issues, with the Palestine question being the foremost among them.
“At this critical juncture, we share a common stance with Venezuela on several crucial matters, with the Palestine issue being the most significant,” Fidan asserted. The Turkish Foreign Minister expressed gratitude towards Venezuela for its unwavering commitment against what he termed the “ongoing injustice, oppression, lawlessness, double standards, and rottenness of the international system,” particularly concerning the situation in Palestine.
Fidan stressed the importance of collective action, stating, “As the number of countries in this position increases, the pressure that will really arise will be greater, and hopefully, we will be able to prevent this oppression together.” This declaration signals a united front against perceived injustices and aims to strengthen collaboration on the international stage.
