Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye’s commitment to unveiling and condemning Israel’s alleged “barbarity, genocidal attempts, war crimes, and evil activities” in Palestine was underscored by Fahrettin Altun, the Turkish Communications Director, during the Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers. The event, held in Istanbul, brought together member and observer countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Speaking on Saturday, Altun declared, “As Islamic countries, we will continue to shout the truth. We will never allow the Palestinian cause to fall off the global agenda. We will continue to shed light on this darkness that Israel has grown to cover up its crimes.”

Highlighting the significance of the meeting, Altun expressed hope that it would yield historical and beneficial outcomes, particularly for the Palestinians. Notably, the session marked a historic occasion for the OIC as it convened an extraordinary meeting on a sectoral basis for the first time in its history.

“This meeting is of vital importance in terms of being able to demonstrate a common attitude against Israeli oppression and to put forward a common struggle for the truth in the field of communication and media,” Altun remarked.

He further emphasized that the final declaration arising from the meeting would convey a robust message to the international community, underlining the collective determination of Islamic nations to counter what they perceive as Israeli oppression.

The Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers serves as a platform for member countries to discuss and strategize communication efforts in response to regional and global developments. Altun’s statements reinforce Türkiye’s stance on the Palestinian cause and its commitment to bringing international attention to the alleged actions of Israel in Palestine.
