Brussels, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium welcomed a delegation of Chinese school and university students participating in a summer educational program organized by NMSG BV, the Embassy announced on Monday.
The group comprised 27 students from nine provinces of China, including Yunnan, Jiangsu, and Chongqing, representing prominent institutions such as New Oriental School, Sichuan International Studies University, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium and the European Union, Sapar Palvanov, delivered a presentation on Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, underlining the nation’s principle of permanent neutrality, its initiatives in international cooperation, and its strategic role as a bridge between East and West. He also highlighted the outcomes of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza and noted the designation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Participants were introduced to Turkmenistan’s rich cultural heritage, with displays of traditional crafts, jewelry, embroidery, and elements of national dress. The event provided an interactive platform for students to engage in discussions on diplomacy, history, and modern life in Turkmenistan.
The meeting concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere, featuring a group photo, a tasting of traditional Turkmen sweets, and lively exchanges between the students and embassy staff.
