Turkmen Foreign Minister Receives New Palestinian Ambassador

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On June 19, 2025, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, Ms. Rana Abu Hijleh.
During the meeting, Ambassador Abu Hijleh presented copies of her credentials, formally commencing her diplomatic mission in Ashgabat. Minister Meredov extended congratulations to the ambassador on her appointment and conveyed Turkmenistan’s readiness to fully support her diplomatic activities.
The two sides held productive discussions on the current status and prospects of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation. They emphasized the importance of advancing ties across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian domains, and agreed to work toward identifying priority areas for deepening collaboration.
Minister Meredov and Ambassador Abu Hijleh also highlighted the constructive engagement of Turkmenistan and Palestine both in bilateral relations and within multilateral platforms, particularly in the context of international organizations.
Concluding the meeting, Ambassador Abu Hijleh expressed her commitment to strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and Palestine and assured that she would spare no effort in further advancing bilateral relations.
