Turkmen, Kazakh Presidents Hold State-Level Talks to Deepen Strategic Partnership

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held official talks with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana on Tuesday, as part of a state visit aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation, the Kazakh President’s press service announced.

President Tokayev welcomed his counterpart, describing Turkmenistan as a strategic partner and a brotherly state. He highlighted the steady growth of trade between the two countries and noted the successful expansion of broader economic collaboration. Tokayev also underscored the value of cultural and humanitarian ties, expressing satisfaction with the current level of bilateral engagement.

President Berdimuhamedov thanked President Tokayev for the invitation and warm hospitality, conveying greetings from Turkmenistan’s National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He emphasized that relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan continue to develop on the principles of friendship, brotherhood, and good-neighborliness.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a wide spectrum of cooperation, covering political-diplomatic interaction, trade and economic partnership, and cultural-humanitarian initiatives. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and agreed to maintain active dialogue at the highest levels.

The state visit also includes plans for additional high-level meetings, during which the leaders are expected to sign several bilateral agreements to expand and formalize cooperation across key sectors.
