Turkmen, Malaysian FMs Discuss Bilateral Ties and Peace Forum Preparations
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On October 17, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan.
During the discussion, both sides reviewed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening friendly relations between the two nations.
The Foreign Ministers also exchanged views on the collaboration of Turkmenistan and Malaysia within regional and international organizations, underscoring the importance of coordinated efforts to promote mutual interests on the global stage.
Special attention was given to the preparations for the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, which is scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in December 2025. Both ministers expressed confidence that the event will contribute to the advancement of dialogue, stability, and global cooperation.
