He highlighted the dynamically developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye across multiple sectors and praised Turkmenistan’s neutral status for its important role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The Turkish minister noted that President Erdogan’s participation in the high-level Forum held in Ashgabat last December, marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, had elevated political and diplomatic relations between the two countries to a new level.

President Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the visiting minister and asked him to convey his best wishes in return to President Erdogan. He also extended his wishes for the success of the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Türkiye currently being held in Ashgabat.

Describing Türkiye as one of Turkmenistan’s closest fraternal states, the Turkmen President emphasized that bilateral relations are long-term and strategic in nature. He noted that regular high-level visits and negotiations between government delegations of both countries significantly contribute to strengthening traditional Turkmen-Turkish cooperation.

The discussions also focused on the steady growth of trade and economic relations. President Berdimuhamedov underlined Turkmenistan’s commitment to introducing advanced technologies, incorporating the latest scientific achievements across various sectors, and consistently modernizing the national economy.

For many years, Türkiye has maintained a leading position in Turkmenistan’s foreign trade turnover, with annual growth in bilateral trade volumes serving as a clear testament to the expanding partnership.

Both sides acknowledged the important role of bilateral exhibitions in enhancing trade and economic relations. In this regard, reference was made to the successful Exhibition of Export Goods of Turkmenistan held in Istanbul from 2 to 5 July last year.

Minister Bolat expressed gratitude for Turkmenistan’s support in organizing the current Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Türkiye in Ashgabat at a high level.
