Turkmenistan and Türkiye Forge New Paths in Transport and Logistics Innovation
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: On August 16, 2024, the General Consul of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. M. Ovezov, held a significant meeting with the leaders of the Association of International Road Carriers of the Republic of Türkiye (UND). The meeting also saw the participation of representatives from the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan.
The discussions centered on innovative approaches and solutions aimed at the development of transport and logistics sectors, ensuring their sustainability and stability. Both parties explored new opportunities for leveraging digital technologies to enhance the maintenance of transport infrastructure and expand international support in the transport sector. The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening the cooperation between Turkmenistan and UND.
In the course of the discussions, the necessity and urgency of establishing sustainable transport connections on a global scale were emphasized. The parties highlighted the critically important role of sustainable transport and the implementation of international initiatives by Turkmenistan in this domain.
Moreover, the discussions acknowledged the significance of the proactive roles both countries play in increasing transit volumes across the region. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement on the promising prospects that have been unlocked by the extensive reconstruction and development of Turkmenistan’s international transport networks.
