Turkmenistan and UAE Discuss Strengthening Economic Ties at 14th Annual Investment Meeting

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Economic and Financial Affairs, held talks with Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, on the sidelines of the 14th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Congress) in Abu Dhabi. The discussions, reported by the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan on Tuesday, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including renewable energy, transport, and other strategic industries.
Minister Al Zeyoudi highlighted Turkmenistan’s growing role as a key partner for the UAE in Central Asia, underscoring the steady growth in bilateral trade, especially within the non-oil sector. Both sides emphasized their commitment to further strengthening economic relations and exploring new joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
The AIM Congress, a major international event, attracted delegates from 180 countries and featured over 400 dialogue sessions and conferences, with more than 1,200 speakers from business, government, and expert communities. The meeting provided an important platform for Turkmenistan and the UAE to reaffirm their mutual interest in fostering deeper economic ties and enhancing collaboration in sectors critical to both nations’ growth and development.
