Turkmenistan, Austria Hold Videoconference to Discuss Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A videoconference meeting was held on January 19, 2026, between Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Austria’s Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger, focusing on strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a broad range of issues encompassing political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. Both parties highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan-Austria collaboration within multilateral frameworks, including the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
In addition, an exchange of views took place on international matters of mutual interest, reflecting the continued commitment of both countries to deepening dialogue and cooperation on global issues.
