Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation from Turkmenistan, comprising representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, visited Kuala Lumpur from February 4 to 6, 2025. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation in entrepreneurship and industry while strengthening bilateral trade ties, according to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with the leadership of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Halal Industry Development Corporation. The talks focused on expanding bilateral trade, fostering economic cooperation, and promoting tourism between the two nations.

Particular attention was given to the preparations for an international investment forum, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur in April 2025. Organizers highlighted the forum as a significant opportunity to stimulate investment inflows into Turkmenistan’s economy, reinforcing its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.

This visit follows a series of diplomatic and economic engagements initiated in December 2024, when Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s official visit to Malaysia led to the signing of key agreements. These agreements have since paved the way for further deepening trade and economic collaboration between the two countries.
