Turkmenistan Enhances Aviation Fleet with Acquisition of Boeing 777-300ER

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Aligned with a Presidential Decree, Turkmenistan has ushered in a pivotal moment by introducing its second Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft, procured from the esteemed American company, Boeing. Arriving at Ashgabat International Airport on a Friday, this new addition stands as a significant milestone in Turkmenistan’s civil aviation domain, as highlighted by Turkmenistan Airlines. This acquisition underscores the nation’s commitment to advancing its aviation capabilities, amplifying its fleet with modern and advanced aircraft, thereby fortifying its position within the global aviation arena.
This follows the delivery of the first Boeing 777-300ER on December 4, 2023, to Turkmenistan’s national carrier, setting the stage for an advanced and state-of-the-art fleet.
The second-generation aircraft, equipped with cutting-edge technology, promises superior performance and exceptional comfort, accommodating a total of 368 passengers. The seating arrangement includes 40 business class, 32 premium economy, and 296 economy class seats.
Featuring two powerful “GE90-115BL2” engines, this aircraft boasts an impressive flight range of 11,390 kilometers and is well-equipped for international flights with a payload capacity of up to 40 tonnes.
