Turkmenistan Expresses Concern Over Middle East Escalation, Calls for Diplomatic Resolution

Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has expressed deep concern over the worsening situation in the Middle East, describing the recent escalation as particularly regrettable given that it occurred amid ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving tensions in the region.

In a statement issued by the ministry’s press service, Turkmenistan emphasized that further aggravation of the situation undermines international initiatives focused on promoting dialogue and stability.

Reaffirming its foreign policy principles, Turkmenistan — which holds the status of permanent neutrality recognized by the United Nations — reiterated that all complex international issues must be addressed strictly in accordance with the UN Charter and the norms of international law.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that disputes and conflicts should be resolved exclusively through political and diplomatic means, underscoring the importance of constructive dialogue and mutual respect in maintaining regional and global peace.

Turkmenistan once again called on all parties to prioritize diplomacy and avoid actions that could further escalate tensions in the Middle East.
