Turkmenistan Hosts International Conference “Ynsanperwerlik ýoly” to Mark 35th Independence Anniversary

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: An international conference titled “Ynsanperwerlik ýoly” was held on March 26, 2026, at the Arçabil Hotel’s conference hall in a hybrid format, commemorating the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.

The forum brought together key representatives from the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), alongside delegates from various foreign Red Crescent societies who participated via video link.

The conference focused on contemporary humanitarian challenges and explored avenues for enhanced cooperation with leading international organizations. Participants reviewed collaborative efforts between the NRCST and its global partners, including the ICRC and IFRC, emphasizing the importance of joint initiatives in strengthening the capacity and professional expertise of staff and volunteers.

Speakers highlighted that the activities of National Red Crescent Societies are firmly rooted in the core principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, particularly humanity, independence, and voluntary service. They noted that sustained cooperation plays a crucial role in facilitating knowledge exchange and advancing humanitarian response mechanisms.

At the conclusion of the conference, participants expressed their appreciation to Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for the successful organization of the event. Delegates reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the conference’s initiatives in line with evolving global humanitarian needs.
