Turkmenistan Joins 3rd Caspian Economic Forum in Tehran

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan actively participated in the 3rd Caspian Economic Forum, held from February 17 to 18, 2025, in Tehran, Iran. Along with Turkmenistan, representatives from Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, and Kazakhstan gathered to discuss vital issues of mutual interest in the Caspian region. The event, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media, aimed to foster greater cooperation and address key sectors including trade, economy, transport, energy, ecology, science, and technology.
The forum provided a strategic platform for the Caspian nations to strengthen their collaborative efforts. The thematic sessions were dedicated to enhancing interaction and facilitating partnerships between the five countries, with participants focused on advancing regional development.
A final declaration is expected to be signed at the conclusion of the forum, solidifying the agreements reached and paving the way for deeper cooperation and the promotion of long-term partnerships in the Caspian region.
This year’s forum builds on the success of the inaugural Caspian Economic Forum, which was held on August 12, 2019, in Turkmenistan’s National Tourist Zone Avaza, marking the beginning of a continued commitment to regional economic integration.
