Turkmenistan Participates in Global Tourism Forum 2025 in Brussels

Brussels, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Mr. B. Rejepov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, actively took part in the Global Tourism Forum 2025, held in Brussels from October 20 to 21, 2025.
The international event convened representatives of government institutions, international organizations, and leading companies in the global tourism industry. Prominent participants included Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Tourism and Transport; Shaikha Al Nowais, Secretary-General Elect of UN Tourism; as well as officials and experts from tourism ministries and agencies of various countries.
The forum’s discussions focused on current trends in global tourism development, with participants exchanging best practices in sustainable tourism and presenting national initiatives aimed at revitalizing the tourism sector in the post-pandemic era. Key themes included digital transformation, the adoption of green technologies, and the enhancement of international cooperation to elevate the quality and resilience of tourism services worldwide.
Turkmenistan’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to global collaboration in promoting mutual understanding, strengthening international partnerships, and contributing to shared prosperity. The delegation underscored that tourism remains a strategic priority in Turkmenistan’s sustainable socio-economic development policy and that the country continues to actively promote its rich cultural and historical heritage on the global stage.
