Turkmenistan Showcases Cultural Heritage at International Novruz Day Celebration in Tbilisi

Tbilisi, The Gulf Observer: The historic Abanotubani district in Tbilisi served as the venue for a grand celebration of International Novruz Day, where the Embassy of Turkmenistan presented an exhibition pavilion highlighting the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore a diverse array of traditional Turkmen artifacts, including national costumes, jewelry, carpets, souvenirs, and samples of Turkmen cuisine. Additionally, books authored by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, were showcased.
A special exhibition stand dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality garnered significant attention. This milestone underscores the nation’s commitment to peaceful diplomacy and international cooperation, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia on Saturday.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Chairman of the City Council Giorgi Tkemaladze, and representatives from various diplomatic missions. In his address, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Dovletmurat Seyitmammedov, underscored the significance of Novruz in Turkmen cultural heritage and its role in promoting peace and unity. He further emphasized Turkmenistan’s diplomatic initiatives, particularly the United Nations General Assembly resolution declaring 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which reflects global recognition of the country’s contributions to security and sustainable development.
The celebration, organized with the support of Tbilisi City Hall and the active participation of diplomatic missions from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Türkiye, along with various diasporas and cultural centers, concluded with a vibrant concert featuring national music and dance performances.
