Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan Trade Reaches $876.8 Million in First Ten Months of 2025

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Bilateral trade between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan amounted to $876.8 million from January to October 2025, according to new data released by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
During the ten-month period, Uzbekistan imported goods valued at $753.2 million from Turkmenistan, while its exports to the neighboring country totaled $111.062 million.
The committee also reported that Uzbekistan’s overall foreign trade turnover reached $66.5 billion between January and October 2025, an increase of $11.8 billion or 21.5 percent compared with the same period last year. The rise reflects growing trade activity with regional and global partners.
The latest figures come as cross-border trade cooperation continues to expand. On November 17, 2025, the Shavat–Dashoguz joint trade zone — a bilateral project aimed at boosting commercial exchanges and facilitating border trade — was officially inaugurated.
Officials expect the new zone to further strengthen economic ties and increase trade flows between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the coming years.
