Turkmenistan’s National Leader Invites Qatar’s Emir to International Forum on Peace and Trust

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has extended an official invitation to Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to participate in the International Forum on Peace and Trust. The forum, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, is scheduled to take place on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
During a telephone conversation, the two leaders exchanged congratulations on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, conveying their best wishes for prosperity and well-being to their respective nations. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that preparations for the forum are being carried out at a high level, in close collaboration with neighboring countries and international organizations. He underscored that the participation of the Qatari Emir would contribute significantly to the success of the event.
Additionally, the National Leader of the Turkmen People emphasized the promising areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the oil and gas sector, industry, investments, transport, and trade. Expressing confidence in the successful implementation of joint projects, Berdimuhamedov reiterated Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Qatar. He also extended his gratitude to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his continued contributions to the advancement of bilateral relations.
In response, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani acknowledged Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s efforts in fostering regional and international cooperation and conveyed his greetings to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Concluding their discussion, both leaders exchanged warm wishes for each other’s health and success in their respective state affairs.
