UAE and Egypt Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Issues

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, held talks with Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, to discuss strengthening the deep fraternal ties between the two nations and addressing regional and international matters of common concern.

The meeting, which took place today in Abu Dhabi, focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including economic, investment, commercial, and developmental fields. Both sides expressed their shared commitment to further advancing these longstanding relations.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the historic and profound bond between the UAE and Egypt, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration to deepen ties in all areas. “The UAE and Egypt share a deep, longstanding bond strengthened by historical ties. We are committed to working together to ensure sustainable development and prosperity for our peoples,” he remarked.

The discussions also touched on regional developments, with a particular focus on the Middle East. The two ministers reviewed the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, with Sheikh Abdullah expressing the UAE’s support for Egypt’s mediation efforts, alongside Qatar and the United States, to bring an end to the ongoing conflict. He reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to contributing to diplomatic initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs; and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs.

The UAE and Egypt, key players in regional stability, continue to work closely on addressing common challenges and fostering cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations.
