UAE and Kazakhstan Forge Inter-Parliamentary Ties

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a recent meeting, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Madiyar Menilbekov, and Chairman of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, engaged in discussions centered on advancing bilateral cooperation across interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian domains. The deliberations aimed to strengthen the existing ties between the two nations.
Ambassador Menilbekov extended heartfelt congratulations to Chairman Saqr Gobash for his re-election as the head of the Federal National Council in November 2023. The ambassador conveyed his best wishes for Chairman Gobash’s continued success in steering the Council’s activities.
During the meeting, the Emirati side was apprised of significant political, economic, and social reforms underway in Kazakhstan, spearheaded by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The reforms are rooted in the “Strong President – Influential Parliament – Accountable Government” framework, with the most recent amendments to the Constitution reflecting the nation’s commitment to progress.
In response, Chairman Gobash acknowledged the dynamic development of Kazakhstan-UAE relations, attributing the positive trajectory to the unwavering support of the leadership in both countries and the reciprocal visits organized across various levels. He emphasized the importance of reinforcing the activity of the cooperation group and facilitating reciprocal visits by parliamentary leadership to further stimulate inter-parliamentary collaboration.
Both parties underscored the pivotal role of mutual cooperation in enhancing diplomatic ties and agreed on collaborative efforts to propel the development of inter-parliamentary relations. The commitment to joint initiatives reflects the shared vision for a strengthened partnership between Kazakhstan and the UAE.
The meeting concluded with an understanding to intensify efforts in the coming months, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
