UAE Applauds UN Security Council's Ceasefire Resolution for Gaza Strip During Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has voiced its strong endorsement of the United Nations Security Council’s adoption of a resolution mandating “an immediate ceasefire” in the occupied Gaza Strip throughout the month of Ramadan. The UAE expressed optimism that this resolution, coupled with its enforcement, would pave the way for a lasting ceasefire in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) conveyed its fervent hope that the resolution would serve as a catalyst for resolving the ongoing crisis and mitigating the plight endured by the Palestinian people. Emphasizing the imperative of immediate, safe, sustainable, and unimpeded humanitarian assistance delivery, particularly to the most vulnerable segments of the population, the UAE underscored the urgency of releasing all hostages held in the conflict.

Furthermore, the UAE underscored the paramount importance of resuming negotiations to realize the long-standing goal of a two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Affirming its unwavering commitment to this objective, the UAE pledged to collaborate closely with its partners to intensify efforts aimed at alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and fostering stability in the region.
