UAE Chambers Forge Strategic Partnerships with Colombian Counterparts to Boost Trade and Investment

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The UAE Federation of Chambers has solidified its commitment to fostering economic collaboration with Colombia through the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing investment and trade opportunities. These agreements also establish a joint business council to facilitate bilateral engagement and cooperation.
Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed the MoUs on behalf of the UAE Chambers, while representatives from Colombia, including the Executive Vice President of the Colombian Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Vice President of the National Business Association of Colombia, sealed the agreements.
The signing of these MoUs is in line with the recently inked Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Colombia, which sets the stage for a new era of collaboration, mutual economic growth, and expanded commercial and investment opportunities.
Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the UAE Chambers and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s Board of Directors, emphasized the significance of these agreements in advancing national objectives aligned with the UAE-Colombia CEPA. The MoUs aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, strengthen commercial and investment ties between businesses, and contribute to driving comprehensive and sustainable development.
Under these agreements, the parties will engage in knowledge-sharing and training initiatives focused on economic development. The MoUs seek to enhance commercial opportunities and promote economic and industrial cooperation among companies in both countries.
Moreover, the agreements pave the way for increased trade and economic delegation visits between the UAE and Colombia. They also encourage collaborative efforts to facilitate the participation of companies from both nations in international events, exhibitions, and conferences, further promoting cross-border business engagement and investment opportunities.
These strategic partnerships underscore the UAE’s commitment to expanding its economic footprint globally and fostering mutually beneficial relationships with key international partners like Colombia, creating pathways for sustained economic growth and prosperity.
