UAE Condemns Israeli Violations in West Bank, Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Rights

UAE

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned ongoing violations by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa courtyards, provocations of worshippers, and attacks on a mosque in Kifl Hares. The UAE warned that such arbitrary actions risk escalating tensions in the region.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reaffirmed the country’s steadfast position calling for an immediate cessation of these grave violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The ministry emphasized the importance of respecting the custodial role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the holy sites, in line with international law and historical status, and safeguarding the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment Administration, which manages Al-Aqsa Mosque, Qubbat Al Sakhrah, and surrounding courtyards. The UAE expressed full solidarity with Jordan in its measures to protect and preserve sites of religious significance.

The Ministry held Israeli authorities responsible for preventing further escalation and urged them to implement measures to avoid exacerbating regional instability. It reiterated the UAE’s categorical rejection of any practices violating international legitimacy and UN resolutions.

The UAE called on the international community to intensify efforts to establish a political horizon that achieves comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution, enabling the brotherly Palestinian people to realize their aspirations for an independent, sovereign state in accordance with international law.
