UAE Condemns Israel’s Land Confiscation in Palestinian Territory
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a formal statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) today, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has vehemently condemned the recent announcement by the Israeli government regarding the confiscation of 8,000 dunams of land in the Jordan Valley of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The UAE has expressed its firm rejection of all actions aimed at altering the historical and legal status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
The Ministry emphasized the UAE’s unwavering stance against any practices that violate international resolutions, posing a threat of further escalation and instability in the region while obstructing efforts towards attaining peace and stability. It underscored the crucial importance of supporting both regional and international initiatives dedicated to advancing the peace process in the Middle East. Additionally, the UAE called for an end to unlawful practices jeopardizing the two-state solution and impeding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to promoting peace, justice, and the fulfillment of the rights of the Palestinian people, the UAE reiterated its dedication to these principles. Furthermore, the Ministry urged the international community to intensify its efforts towards securing an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life and avoid exacerbating the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. It stressed the imperative of advancing all endeavors aimed at achieving a comprehensive and equitable peace settlement in the region.
