UAE Delegation Participates in 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference

Vilnius, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA), attended the 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference held in Vilnius, Lithuania from June 18th to 21st. The conference, themed “Confronting Global Threats: Standing Up for Integrity,” gathered international leaders and experts to discuss strategies for combating corruption.

The UAEAA’s participation underscores the UAE government’s dedication to fostering international dialogue and cooperation in the pursuit of global integrity.

During the conference, the UAE delegation engaged in productive discussions with Linas Pernavas, President of the General Assembly of the European Partners Against Corruption (EPAC), European Union Anti-Corruption Contact Network (EACN), and the Special Investigation Service (STT) in Lithuania. They also met with Veronica Dragalin, Chief of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova. These meetings focused on exploring avenues for collaboration between the UAE and other nations in enhancing integrity and combating corruption.

The conference provided a platform for the UAE to reinforce its commitment to international anti-corruption efforts and to build stronger partnerships with countries dedicated to upholding integrity and transparency.
