UAE, Germany Discuss Strengthening Strategic Cooperation and Regional Security

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Johann Wadephul in Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the friendship and strategic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Germany and explored ways to further strengthen ties across various sectors, including economic, trade, industrial and investment fields, in support of sustainable development and economic prosperity in both countries.
The officials also discussed the outcomes of the official visit by Friedrich Merz to the UAE in February, highlighting its role in strengthening the long-standing partnership and cooperation between the two nations.
Sheikh Abdullah praised the advanced level of UAE-Germany relations and the steady growth witnessed across multiple sectors, noting that both countries are committed to achieving greater prosperity and well-being for their peoples.
The meeting also addressed the repercussions of recent Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several other countries. Germany’s foreign minister reaffirmed Berlin’s full solidarity with the UAE.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Wadephul’s visit, stating that it reflects the depth of the bilateral friendship and underscores Germany’s support for the UAE following the attacks.
Both sides further emphasized the importance of intensifying international cooperation to strengthen regional security and stability, while promoting diplomatic solutions and constructive dialogue to resolve regional crises.
